A juicy red with blueberry and blackberry character. Medium body. Medium-chewy finish.
90-91 points James Suckling jamessuckling.com June 3 2020
The 2019 Citran is conspicuously deep in color. It has an intense bouquet with blackberry, cranberry and light iodine aromas. It is higher toned than I expected. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, nicely balanced with a smooth texture and a little pepperiness towards the finish. I would have liked it to fan out a bit more, show more flourish given the vintage. Tasted twice.
