This classical Bordeaux style blend combines freshness with real concentration, showcasing the best of Stellenbosch. Intense notes of blackcurrant, star anise, thyme with underlying dark fruit complete the nose of this blend. A core of dark fruit on the palate, combined with a good tannin structure and great complexity, makes this wine linger on the palate.
On the nose, the 2015 Cornerstone is dark fruited with soft herbal and floral tones mixed with hints of oak. The palate is clean and mineral-driven, while the finish is long and lingering. The proceeds of this wine go to help and aid farming housing for wine industry workers and is a step in the right direction for South Africa. This is an honest wine and delivers pleasure for the price.
