The Astrolabe Province Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc is made from grapes grown across three Marlborough sub-regions — the Wairau Valley, the Awatere Valley and the Kekerengu Coast.
This is a dry, expressive and elegantly balanced sauvignon blanc.
The colour is pale straw with green highlights. Lemon grass, lime peel and elderflower, with background notes of white currant and red pepper dominate the nose. A medium-bodied with white peach, gooseberry and citrus flavours dominating on a dry mineral finish.
Very good drinking now and will add complexity with a few years in the bottle.
Have it with fresh, leafy green salads, seafood of all types and dishes with lifted, aromatic herbs.
Ripe, deliciously fruity sauvignon blanc with melon, guava and citrus-lime, together with smattering of fresh herbs. A creamy-textured wine with good weight and a lingering finish. Textbook Marlborough sauvignon.
