Tasmanian shiraz is more than just a curiosity. It doesn't always hit the mark but when it does, watch out. Here we have a prime example: it bounces with ripe berried fruit, but then it's layered with gun smoke, graphite, peppercorns, nuts and herbs. Tannin has a fine-grained finesse to it; length is excellent; and it has X-factor. It is a beauty.
