From lieux-dits on the village's alluvial fan, the 2018 Chassagne-Montrachet Village offers up notes of crisp yellow orchard dust, buttered peaches and fresh pastry. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, satiny and attractively precise, concluding with a saline finish.

A completely different aromatic profile presents notes of petrol, resin, pear and white flowers. There is once again excellent volume and punch to the succulent but intense medium weight flavors that also culminate in a bone dry and crisp finale. This needs to develop more depth but my rating implicitly assumes that more will gradually appear.
