Based on Victoria's Bellarine Peninsula, Scotchmans Hill have long been considered one of Australia's leading makers of Chardonnay. It all started in 1986. Today 600 tonnes are processed for the Scotchmans Hill wines, as well as contract winemaking for a number of local clients. Chief winemaker Robin Brockett began his career at Scotchmans in 1988. 30 years on, Robin has been instrumental in the development of the vineyards and winemaking style of Scotchmans Hill. He was integral in establishing it as the leading winery of the Bellarine Peninsula, and one rated among
Top 100 Australian Wineries.
Intense and complex wine displaying stone fruit, figs, creamy barrel ferment characters and nutty oak. The palate is rich and juicy with nectarine and melon fruits, creamy mid palate and cashew nut finish. The mineral acid backbone gives the wine its drive, length, and persistence.
