The wine exhibits some flinty sulphide notes over aromatics of guava, gooseberry and nettles with undertones of lychee and chalk dust. The palate is fresh with vibrant acidity balanced by weight and texture from the barrel fermentation and a long persistent gin and tonic like finish.
Pea shoot, lemon juice and cream – really classic and rich, with the interest and texture that is often missing from New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. No lingering sweetness.

Strong green peppers and a green passion-fruit edge, too. The palate has slightly tart, raspy fruit that’s very green and savory. A blend of sauvignon blanc and semillon. Drink now.
