Pale yellow with green hue. A fragrant bouquet of white flowers, nectarine and pear with underlying cashew and citrus notes. Lovely toasty oak florals help lift to white flower bouquet. The palate is medium-full bodied with stone fruit and fresh citrus flavours and creamy biscuit characters from lees influence. Subtle oak sweetness adds to the richness and length of the palate. The wine has an elegant, refined structure and finishes with fine mineral acidity.
Hand-picked from two vineyards, whole-bunch pressed, wild-fermented in 2-3t batches, SO2 added straight after fermentation, no mlf, matured in French barriques and puncheons (30% new). Racy style, with 8.3g/l of titratable acidity. Grapefruit leads, with white flowers, white peach and good oak handling.
