The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is a gorgeous entry-level wine in this range from Stonestreet. A whole range of floral and savory notes give the Estate aromatic nuance to play off a core of vibrant red fruit. Medium in body and impeccably polished, the 2016 is flat-out delicious, even in the early going.

Blackberry, blackcurrant, dried mint and bay leaf, baking spice oak. It’s medium to full-bodied, a saline nori character here, sweet spice and dark fruit, open-knit tannin, pleasing freshness with a little truffle and tobacco. Finish is good. Leaning towards raspberry, but still has something of a maritime character and sea breeze as it goes. Nice wine.
