Mont-Redon’s 2005 Châteauneuf du Pape Blanc showed brilliantly. Lightly colored, it’s fresh and lively with lots of juicy lime, citrus blossom and tinges of minerality all emerging from the glass. I love the balanced here, and blind, I’d guess it was just a few years old. Made from 55% Grenache Blanc, 20% Clairette, 10% Roussanne and the rest Bourboulenc and other permitted varieties, drink it anytime over the coming decade. Drink 2015-2025
