An under the radar gem, the 2016 Barolo is a gorgeous wine and also a terrific value in high-end, artisan wine. Bright, translucent and super-expressive, the 2016 can be enjoyed now, although it will be even better in a few years’ time. Bright red berry fruit, blood orange, white pepper, mint, licorice and cinnamon give this super-classic Barolo so much appeal. Vibrant chalky, minerally notes are laced into the taut, nervy finish. Impressive.

A Barolo with very pretty, round and ripe tannins with ripe strawberries, chocolate, walnuts and pine nuts. It’s full-bodied, juicy and flavorful. Needs two or three years to open, but already rich and wonderful. Better after 2022.
