Deep red/purple colour and dusty-peppery, slightly marine seabreezy characters on the nose. Intense, powerful, concentrated and long, but it’s all delivered with great elegance. It has regional appeal aplenty - black-blue fruits, squid ink and black pepper and on first pour, somewhat hammered by lots of varnishy-sweet-charry oak. Yet all that fades with air, to reveal a vibrancy and plushness. Ripe, dense tannins and appealing in the end.

This has sultry, wet-stone aromas with fresh red flowers and spiced red plums on offer. Super fresh. The palate has a plush, succulent and juicy feel with a vibrant, spicy delivery of red-plum flavors and smoothly layered tannins. Fresh and alluring. Drink or hold. Screw cap.

A dry start to the winter followed by timely spring rains. The summer was cool and mild which allowed fruit to ripen very lowly resulting in strong acidities and deep colour for reds with full fruit flavours and lower sugar levels. A very strong vintage for the region, 9/10 rating.
A bouquet of ground spices, black cherry, blue berry and raspberries, spicy aromatic oak in the background. Earthy gravel nuances, typical of the region. A focused by intense favours and youthful pallet that will need time to evolve. The tannins and flavours are poised to express them themselves in the years to come.
