Fruit was hand-picked from the Warramate 1.2 acre Riesling vineyard planted in 1970. Although not a common variety for the Yarra Valley, this plot of vines consistently delivers highly individual wines. Whole bunch pressing and maturation in stainless steel tank.
This dry Riesling has a subtle varietal aroma of citrus, apple, musk and talc with an underlying complex note of flintiness. A wine of fruit purity, lovely weight and some textural interest.This will serve immediate drinking very well but will benefit from allowing its character and complexity to develop further in the bottle for 3-4 years under suitable cellaring conditions. 12.5% ALC.
