Mid-straw in colour. Aromas of quince, white lillies, nettles and lemon. The flavours are fresh and driven by tangy citrus and a cool minerality. The wine has very good legth and brightness. Will age beautifully. 16 MAY 2021 Drink 2021–2036

Richmond, Coal River Valley; planted 2014; hand picked; fermented and matured 5 months in old French oak puncheons. An impeccably crafted take on young-vine riesling. Subtle exotics of star fruit and spicy persimmon elevate a core of kaffir lime, grapefruit and fig. Zesty yet creamy, puncheon fermentation softens texture without any interruption to purity. A little grapefruit pith phenolic bite delivers structure without coarseness. Medium-term potential.

Bright, light to medium-yellow colour; aromas of lemon-pith and fresh green herbs. The palate is rich and full, ample and generously flavoured, with savoury dryness and tightness, finishing with a little acid hardness. More time will help and it will cellar well. 15 NOV 2020 Drink 2022–2032

A single vineyard Riesling from the highest part of the Butchers Hill vineyard at Richmond, adjacent to the cellar door. Fruit was hand picked over the space of 10 days and whole bunch pressed at cool temperatures to tank and the juice was cold settled. Racked to old French oak puncheons (500 litres) for fermentation. Maturation on lees for 5 months before bottling. Finished at 13.2% alc with 2.9 g/l residual and 8.8 TA with PH of 3.12 just 275 dozen produced.Very open nose with jasmine, orange blossom a touch exotic. Flavours are very concentrated with lime zest, red apple and preserved lemon. Great intensity, drive through the palate with a slinky acid profile.
