Medium straw-yellow hue, with a bouquet of dried apricot, almond meal and dried pineapple, the palate full-bodied and impactful, yet also shot through with electric acidity which enlivens what might otherwise be a slightly ponderous wine. A real mouthful, and that acidity begs for food. Arguably, it doesn't gel 100% at this stage, but this is a minor quibble. It's still a cracking chardonnay. Drink 2022 – 2031
