Aging in the finest quality oak and selection of the truest barrels has created a wine that respects and expresses its place of origin.
The Barossa has some very distinct sub-regions which exhibit their own unique influence on the wine. A journey through the Terroirs is a lesson in the Barossa’s versatility. This is the 10th vintage of this wine from the Ebenezer District, an area famous for its elegant and structured style of Shiraz.
Shiraz wines from this region are typically characterised by lifted aromas of lavender and spice. The palate is full of red fruits, leather, cedar and fine, talc like tannins.
The varietal expression is loud and clear in this delectable red; the fragrant bouquet shows blackberry, plum jam, toasted spice and vanillin oak characters, followed by a concentrated palate that is supple and expansive. Dense yet silky, and finishes fabulously long and appealing. At its best: now to 2030.
