The dark, brooding regional characters of plum, red cherry and licorice are all to the fore of this wine.The palate is focused and linear, with dark bitter chocolate notes and an elegant long persistent finish. We recommend cellaring for 10 years.
Wonderfully fruited and generously expressed, the bouquet shows dark fruit intensity with seductive notes of olive, warm spice, game and roasted nuts. The palate delivers opulence as well as supple mouthfeel, beautifully supported by fine-grained tannins. Multi-layered and immensely appealing. At its best: now to 2030.

Glass-staining depth of colour. Lovely, ripe, fruitcakey nose of dark fruits, spice and mocha. Those aromatic threads flow through the mouth, and despite its obvious power and concentration, it shows refinement.
