Brighter yellow than the Charmes-Dessus, as well as a touch lighter and greener. More elegant on the nose too, offering scents of musky lime oil, wild herbs, white pepper and menthol (this fruit was harvested at the beginning, followed on the next day by Meursault Charmes and Perrières ). Offers a lighter touch on the palate than the Charmes-Dessus, with citrus and floral flavors complicated by a hazelnut quality. Nicely combines the roundness of Charmes with the tension of Perrières --and more about minerality than ripe yellow fruits. I particularly liked the long, rising whiplash of a finish.
