Pierrick’s parcel comes from the western end of Bougros, towards the top of the hill where the slope is only about 5%. Vinified in stainless steel, it was matured for 8 months in one old 800 litre barrel.
’The 2019 Chablis Bougros Grand Cru has a crisp, well defined bouquet with scents of flint and green apples, nicely focused with touches of orange rind emerging with aeration. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, harmonious and poised with a dab of honey towards the finish, ditto a dab of spice on the aftertaste. Very fine.’
