Spends 12 months in French oak, 30% new, then another year in large format oak followed by 2 years in bottle before release. While the colour has dropped out - it's a light-brick hue, it's come together well riding a savoury line interspersed with cherries and pips, new leather, cedary and warm spices. Lighter-bodied for a nebbiolo but the raspy tannins counter that and it's ready now.
