History and tradition in the 19th century, Dr Lavalle, author of a remarkable History and statistics of the vineyard and the great wines of the Côte-d’Or, wrote: « After the real Montrachet, I know no more wonderful white wine ».

Soil the main characteristic of this terroir is the large presence of rocks. Proximity to an old quarry is therefore not a coincidence. The clay content is low and the mother rock sometimes rises. These characteristics make it possible to produce rich, powerful, mineral and precise wines.

From a .70 ha holding

A broad array of citrus elements adds freshness to the beautifully layered aromas of floral and exotic tea. The racy and almost painfully intense medium weight flavours exude evident minerality on the finely detailed, bone-dry and youthfully austere finish that exhibits outstanding length. This beauty is quite compact at present and a wine that should age gracefully for years. In a word, excellent.
