Typical intense malbec colour. From 2 estate blocks, 1 specialist grower block. 10% whole-berry fermentation, with cold soak, 7–9 days on skins; matured for 12 months in French puncheons (10% new). Winemaker Paul Hotker has this wine on a string, dancing to his every command. This has the gravitas of a great red wine that just happens to be made from malbec; its mouth-watering intensity of forest blackberries, cloves and black olive drawn out on the finish by ripe tannins. Trophy and top gold Royal Adelaide Wine Show ’21, gold Perth Royal Wine Awards ’21.

Bleasdale has been growing Malbec since the late 1800's and produced the regions first Malbec table wine in 1961.
This wine is dark purple with intense aromas of violets, blackberries, plums and clove spice. Drinking well now, but with the potential to be a long term cellaring prospect if desired. Lightly fined and racked before bottling without filtration, it is normal for some sediment to form. Decanting one hour before drinking is recommended.
