Hand picked from 27yo vines in Keyneton. Wild fermented; matured 20 months in French oak hogsheads. Density and definition. Impressive concentration of blackcurrant and blackberry fruit, even fresh licorice and touches of menthol, all backed with high-cocoa dark chocolate French oak. Firm, finely, confident tannins direct a long finish. Full and impacting.

Dry-grown at elevation, this has hit a very attractive band of quality in 2018, with intense roasting herbs and ripe black fruit, as well as tapenade, spice and some sweet tobacco. The silky palate has bold, fleshy depth and a very even, driving build. Drink over the next eight years.
