Very light, bright yellow appearance; lemon-juice and slightly pongy sulfide overtones, apricot and passionfruit, too, the reduction breathing off quickly. The palate is just off-dry and juicy but balanced, the finish clean and refreshing, a very good style of half-dry riesling. 09 JUL 2022

Helm wine have been rated by Halliday 10 years as a 5-star winery with 8 of those at the top red 5 star, this year they achieved the best of the best with the top 5 red star accolade.
This is a style of Riesling which is very popular in Germany, where is it is known as Halbtrocken (Half Dry). It is a particularly good accompaniment to spicy dishes as the slight sweetness in the wine balances the spice and heat. This is the 16th vintage of this very popular style, and each year we fine tune balance between flavour, acid and sweetness. Released under the distinctive red rose coloured label.
2022 is bright, light green colour, lime and lemon citrus aromas, the palate juicy,soft and fruity. A very smart haalbtrocken style of Riesling.Great with spicy Thai, Chinese or Indian flavours where the sweetness of the wine balances out the heat.
The balance of acid and sugar in this wine means it is perfect to drink and enjoy now. If kept longer than two years the wine will stat to develop sweet lime cordial flavours.
