40% Mourvèdre, 40% Cinsault, 20% Grenache. Alain Pascal sold his fruit to Domaine Ott and Chateau de Pibarnon for many years. In 1997, after his father’s death, Alain started Dm du Gros Nore bringing more than casual notice onto himself. He is already a leading contender in Bandol, the grand cru of Provence.
2016 Gros Nore is bright orange-pink. It is spicy and focused on the nose, displaying fresh orange, strawberry and floral scents that expand with aeration. Dry and chewy in the mouth, offering blood orange, bitter cherry and honeysuckle flavours that show excellent depth and focus. Closes taut and minerally, displaying strong persistence and powerful floral notes.
