A wine of great structure and complexity, it embodies all the best characteristics of sangiovese grown on galestro soil at high altitude. Hints of ripe red fruit, pepper and elegant tannins makes this wine a singular expression of sangiovese.
Anfiteatro, the estate’s top Sangiovese, is fabulous in 2015. More than anything else, I am blown away by the wine’s freshness and beguiling complexity. Sweet red cherry, rose petal, mint, blood orange, pomegranate and spice abound in an ample, racy Sangiovese that has so much to offer. Quite simply, the 2015 is superb. Don’t miss it.
