A full-bodied red with chewy tannins that nicely frame a full body with lots of fruit, tobacco and wet-earth character. Flavorful finish.
That is excellent; classic Pessac signature in that it is sleek, precise and balanced. Not as much exuberance perhaps as the 2018 but juicy, rich and enticing. You would be very happy to own this wine, it's a clear crowd pleaser. A yield of 35hl/ha. Drinking Window 2027 - 2040

The 2019 Larrivet Haut-Brion is laced with a whole range of dark red cherry, lavender, gravel, rose petal, blood orange, mint and sweet spice nuances. Deep and persistent, with fabulous balance, the 2019 has so much to recommend it. One of the signatures of Larrivet Haut-Brion is a relatively high percentage of Cabernet Franc, and the Franc character really comes through. It will be fascinating to see how things evolve as the property transitions to sustainable farming. Tasted two times.
The 2019 Larrivet Haut-Brion has a succulent bouquet with very pure black cherries, raspberry and blood orange scents billowing from the glass. The oak is seamlessly integrated in this Pessac-Léognan. The palate is finely proportioned with saturated tannins, well judged acidity, fleshy black plum and boysenberry fruit with a pinch of sea salt towards the finish. What a lovely, seductive Larrivet has created in 2019. Possibly earlier drinking than some of its peers.
