Here too the nose reveals plenty of mineral reduction character on the white peach, green apple, pear and subtle wood scents. While not as refined as the Perrières, the mediumweight-plus flavours also possess a really lovely mouthfeel though with more evident power on the stony, firm and well-detailed finish. This is an elegant Corton Charlemagne that should age gracefully for 12 to 15 years. Sweet spot.
