Good depth of youthful red/purple colour, with a rich, ripe dark cherry aroma, and undertones of sousbois and subtle vanilla, quite delicious. It's soft and fruity throughout the palate with sotto voce oak and supple, gentle but present tannins. This ticks all the boxes: a benchmark wine. It doesn't pall, but delights to the last.09 OCT 2020 Drink 2020–2032

A blend of wines from Bannockburn, Bendigo and Lowburn. Fragrant, attractive aroma of black cherry and red rose petals that continues onto the palate where it is joined by plum, crushed herbs and grape stem flavours. Fruit sweetness is nicely balanced by fine, ripe tannins to give a pleasantly dry finish. Youthful but approachable with obvious cellaring potential.17 SEP 2020 Drink 2020–2030
