Screwcap. This is stunning and almost a bona fide Estate wine this year with 90% of the fruit hailing from Leroux’s own vines in Moulin Landin, Criots, Bois de Blagny and Les Millerands. Each of these sites, spread through the village, are certified organic and managed with biodynamic methods. The oldest vines date back to 1944, and the élevage took in just 10% new oak this year. The notes below do the wine justice. It’s a classically poised villages with great purity, fine structure and racy freshness all working as one. Expect a juicy, vibrant wine, perfectly balanced and offering tangy, pulpy, preserved lemon fruit and a gently powdery, quinine-like close. Absolutely outstanding.

“Sweet Spot. Outstanding. A much less expressive nose is similar if slightly spicier and a bit more complex as well. There is notably better intensity to the somewhat denser medium-bodied flavors that flash even more minerality and particularly so on the driving, balanced and beautifully harmonious finish.”
91-93 points, Allen Meadows, Burghound issue 75

“If you're looking for a Meursault that represents the whole appellation and is a pleasure to drink… It's a textbook white Burgundy: rich, textured and concentrated, but with zesty acidity, fine 10% oak and appealingly low alcohol levels.”
92 points, Tim Atkin MW, Decanter
