50% Grenache, 20% Carignan, 10 % Syrah, 10% Counoise and 10% Aramon Just 12.8% alcohol, the grapes are co-fermented with some whole bunch and majority destemmed and given semi-carbonic maceration and bottled the spring after the harvest. A very fresh and vibrant wine showing lovely purple fruits in its aromas. Bright and gluggable - a real vin de soif.
Adrien Roustan takes a Burgundian approach to his 18 hectares of vines with whole-bunch ferments, gentle extraction and maturation primarily in cement. Roustans vineyards were certified organic in 2012. This is a refreshing entry-level red. Bright crimson colour with lifted aromatics of raspberries and dark plums and a whiff of allspice. The palate is nimble, unimpaired by oak with juicy red fruit flavours and gently persuasive tannins to extend the finish.
