Fermented wild in old French oak barriques and left on lees for 3 months. This has texture and a depth of flavour, attractive lime juice, kaffir leaf fragrance and good length.

The colour is quite deep for a 2018 at this stage, light to medium yellow, with a rich aroma of lemon pith and chopped fresh herbs. The wine is soft and fruity, open-knit, gently-textured and clean, with a lemony aftertaste. It will benefit from a little more time to fill out its mid-palate flavour. Drink 2019–2027
