The Riesling fruit was harvested from our Langton vineyard (Mt Barker) in the first few days of March.A close eye was kept on the vineyards leading up to picking as there had been some unseasonably cool and wet days, though picking the Riesling relatively early ensured the fruit was in excellent conditionwith perfect analysis. Only the free run juice was selected for this Riesling and carefully fermented at cool temperatures with a selected yeast to enhance the aromatics andretain the delicate citrus andfloral fruit characters. Bottled as early as possible to retain maximum freshness.
A bright, light straw with a light green tinge. Attractive lemon sherbet characters with a fresh, pithy lemon/lime aroma. A fine dry wine with beautifully pure and delicate lemon fruit flavours. This wine has attractive, sherbet like characters and a zingy, fresh acidity. It has good length of flavour and a crisp, clean finish.
