Tasmania’s ultra cool climate is perfect for making Riesling wines with finesse and distinction. Lubiana's winemaking philosphy takes full advantage of the perfectly balanced pristine fruit from the naturally cultivated vineyard. Minimal handling and whole bunch pressing together with the use of wild yeast fermentation in large format Austrian oak results in wines with the purest expression of their terroir.
Steely, flinty mineral scents over lean citrus and citrus blossom perfume, suggests stern then delivers a lot more juicy, appley flavours in the palate than expected. Indeed, there’s some good concentration and slipperiness in the mouth, with faint honeycomb note. It’s a delicious wine, loaded with detail, long and kind of serious feeling with great energy in tow.
