Malbec seems to shift into a high-toned gear in this moderate maritime region: a cuddly, fleshy ripeness flecked with blue to dark fruit tones, herb and soaring florals uber alles. Cinnamon oak is embedded amidst the ripe, cushiony fruit and yet, unlike shiraz, there is nothing overt or too sweet.
