The color codeThe color coding of the bottle depends on the flavor of the wine. The dry-tasting wines are equipped with a white capsule. The fine dry wines have a slate-inspired gray-green capsule color. On the taste description "semi-dry" is completely omitted, as "feinherb" is the historically traditional term for this extension of the Moselle Riesling and describes the taste profile of the wines much better. The fruit and noble sweet wines are provided with a golden capsule. However, the use of a golden capsule for the Molitor Rieslings is not based on any quality rating, as may have been known from other Mosel wineries called gold capsule, long gold capsule or extra long gold capsule.
