"Dark cherry, raspberry, wheatgerm and a slightly meaty reductive thing, along with subtle spice oak. It’s medium-bodied, tight, distinctly ‘minerally’ in feel, with its cool acidity and graphite tannin, bony but flavoursome, with a long emery board finish. Classy. Excellent."

"Estate vines in the Derwent Valley; planted 1987; undergoing organic conversion; 3 picks with 0-50% whole bunches. Wild fermented; matured 9 months in 10% new French oak casks; unfined. A jubilant celebration of elegant, young pinot! Fresh, vibrant, primary and crunchy. Bountiful red cherries, poached strawberries and raspberries, elevated by the fragrant rose petal, potpourri and dried herb of nicely moderated whole-bunch fermentation. A long finish is charged equally by tangy morello cherry acidity as silky, fine-ground tannins. The quintessential lunchtime pinot.”
