The 2015 Perlato del Bosco shows the richer style of Sangiovese that is typical of Suvereto and the Tuscan coast. Varietal flavors are amped up in this racy, voluptuous red from Tua Rita. Succulent red cherry, plum, new leather and licorice add shades of nuance, but this is a decidedly forward, fruit-driven style. I would prefer to drink the 2015 sooner rather than later. At present, the 2015 shows a bit of new oak and is still recovering from its recent bottling a few months ago. I would prefer to cellar it for at least another 6 months.
