2016 Scotchmans Hill Shiraz, Bellarine Peninsula

Complex nose of dark plum, ripe cherry aromas. Spice and pepper notes with cedar oak rounds out the bouquet. The palate is bright with an array of red fruits and dark cherries. Medium bodied mid palate with integrated tannins and oak. The wine has great balance and structure which will give great longevity. Age for 10 to 15 years.

Whole berries and 15% whole bunches cold soak for 5 days, after 7 days on skins, pressed and matured in new and used French oak for 16 months. The distinctively spicy, peppery bouquet is the overture for a powerful palate, rippling tannins at the feet of black fruits, oak adding to the all-up complexity.
