This single vineyard rendition of Sauvignon Blanc is sourced from the Holdaway Family vineyard at Dillons Point. It is a classic expression of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, being 100% tank fermented, but it offers complexity of texture and a mineral drive that summons river stones and sea spray.
'Intense, herbal, grapefruit and blackcurrant-leaf freshness, avoiding sweaty thiols and passionfruit. A very slight smoky/stony quality but mostly the fruit is to the fore. On the palate, there's a little more passionfruit but grapefruit purity is the main impression, along with green fruits like greengage. Very fresh but not aggressively so, and persistent. Finishes dry and clean in the mouth. Drink: 2019-2021'
