Medium to light red colour with a good purple tint, the bouquet fresh but savoury and leathery, with dried cherry and rose petal nuances. The palate is firm and drying, with a big tannin grip and savoury aftertaste, but also rich fruit flavour and a long carry. A less-grapy, more savoury style of real charm and character. A quite superb wine in its station, very Piedmont and individual. Great value for money.
