From vines up to 100 years old, grown on soft pink granite in Les Charmes, the highest climat in Morgon, reaching over 400m. Fully de-stemmed, followed by a 2-3 week fermentation and maturation in 3-4 year old French oak barriques.
The 2015 Morgon Les Charmes is utterly irresistible, bursting from the glass with extravagant aromas of ripe black cherries, mulberries and violets, lifted by a subtle hint of balsamic reduction. On the palate, it's full-bodied, textural and voluptuous, with velvety, melting tannins and a generous core of succulent, tangy fruit that never strays over into over-ripeness. The result is a Morgon that's simultaneously gourmand and refreshing, exemplifying the particular kind of deliciousness it was possible to capture in the 2015 vintage. Drink 2018-2028.’

An intensely perfumed bouquet evokes ripe red fruits, Indian spices and minerals, along with an exotic touch of incense that emerges with air. In a nervy, elegant style for a rich vintage, offering appealingly sweet black raspberry, cherry, floral pastille and spicecake flavors that show very good depth as well as finesse. A spine of juicy acidity adds lift and focus to an impressively long, floral-dominated finish framed by supple, harmonious tannins. Drink 2021-2027.’
