The Mayer The Doctor Pinot Noir is an amazing Yarra pinot noir. Dark and inky with ruby glints. The nose is intense, revealing five spice, clove and black cherry. These aromas are replicated in the mouth, with more evolving. It is just plain gorgeous, rollercoaster that you do not wan't to get off. Predictabltly, I say have it with Chinese roast duck or pork. But that will only be the predictable part of this match

Slightly darker in colour, aromas of raspberry and crushed leaves, cranberry and savoury minerals. Very complex, orange peel and herbal raspberry fruit, licorice and hints of fennel.
Dense and seamless but also juicy and tight, conveying an impression of power. Intense and long finish, surprisingly ready to drink, but will cellar very well.
