This was the wine that was formerly called Cuvée Réserve, yet everything else remains the same. It could be called the ‘entry-level’ Weinbach Gewürztraminer although there is really no such thing at this Domaine. From old vines in the Clos des Capucins, the 2018 is a layered and complex, dry Gewürz with notes of white tea, rose petals, musk and pink peppercorn. It easily has the depth and intensity to stand up to very intense food. The 2018 finished up with under 20 grams residual. Match it with top notch Chinese food.
