40% Malvasia Bianca, 30% Trebbiano Toscano, 30% San Colombano
Grapes are dried for 2 months before pressing. The must is fermented and aged for at least 3 years in typical wood barrels called “caratelli”. Fermentation is extremely long and slow to allow the wine to get its characteristic notes.
COLOUR: Deep Amber gold.
AROMA: Honey dried fruit, figs with a spicy finish.
PALATE: Creamy, rich, sweet and fresh, with citrus and dried fruit notes. It is full – bodied with a beautiful balance of sweetness and acidity. 15.5% alc
Perfect by itself, great with typical Tuscan biscuits called “cantucci”, extremely good with matured cheeses.
Long lived wine, with potential to age over the next century.
