The ninth vintage made from the Savignan vines was unwittingly planted back in 2007 – it really does make a good alternative to other mainstream crisp, dry whites. It is a terrific oyster wine, but can be enjoyed with any fresh seafood really. Drink it over the next couple of summers.
Colour: Brilliant, pale green.
Aroma: Subtle aromas of citrus, stone fruits and celery tops plus some briney/mineral notes in the background.
Palate: A crisp, bright mouthful of citrus and stone fruit with a slight salty/mineral swirl on the finish. A little chalky, talc-like grip sees the wine finish long and pleasantly dry.
