Lifted berry fruit aromas combine with hints of violets and spice, flowing through to some dusty cedar notes.
PALATE:
A rich, smooth palate with complex layers of red and dark berry fruits. The palate is soft and generous with hints of vanilla, spice and chocolate, supported by fine-grained tannins and perfectly integrated French oak. Cellar up to 7 years.
Light enough for cold meats or tartare, yet intense enough for smoky barbequed red meats.
It's matured in all-French oak and while it's mostly cabernet and merlot there's a small portion of petit verdot in the mix. It's medium weight and fluid with blackcurrant, milk chocolate and gravel notes slipping amiably through. It has shape and texture but integrity of fruit is key here. No mucking about; this is a good cabernet to drink.
