The 2017 Chablis 1er Cru Fourneaux is very promising, unwinding in the glass with notes of citrus oil, green apple, white flowers and orange rind. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, its ample attack segueing into a tensile, incisive and structured mid-palate, concluding with a chalky finish. This will reward some bottle age.
