from a plot 1.5 ha planted in 1950 on an extremely steep slope that requires plowing by hourse. Crumbling pink granite soil-these vines consistently produce tiny grapes. Vinified with 15% whole cluster, indigenous yeast fermentation in concrete tank, gentle extraction.
Complex aromas of plums, sweet pipe tobacco, roast game bird and pomegranate introduce the 2017 Fleurie Joie de Palais, a medium to full-bodied, layered wine with a lovely core of concentrated fruit, tangy balancing acids and chalky tannins that assert themselves on the back end.
