This is good. Very. A single vineyard selection from a prime ferrous site, this has an earthy blood and stone sort of quality to it. Real grrh! Damson plum, five-spice, earth and fresh leather. A lick of orange rind and a rosemary twine, are propelled by vibrant acidity and nicely embedded tannins. This is reminiscent of a top Chianti from a cooler site.

Forza di Ferro is Italian for Strength from Iron. Iron rich soils, considered barrel selection and age define this wine. Aromas of spice, berries and leather lead to flavours of plums and cherries, and a complex and generous palate with soft textured tannins. This wine will cellar for 10 or more years.
